Oakland Association of Insurance Agents
The Oakland Association of Insurance Agents is one of the oldest professional associations in the city of Oakland. We were established in 1907 and subsequently incorporated in 1974. The Association consists of local independent insurance agents who operate insurance agencies in the Greater East Bay area. Our member agents provide a wide array of insurance products and service to their customers. The Association also operates an independent agency which specializes in municipal insurance and insurance for nonprofit entities.
Our mission is as follows:
- We will offer our agent/broker members opportunities for professional development through service to the association and by providing continuing education programs.
- We will act as a liaison between local agents, the state and national associations and the community.
- We will provide superior risk management services and quality insurance products to all of our customers.
- We will enrich the quality of life in our community through volunteerism and charitable endeavors, acting as a catalyst for change in the community.
